Live Cooking Station Hire London: Sri Lankan Street Food at Your Event

A live cooking station is the difference between an event people attend and an event people remember. The sound of kothu roti being made. The smell of hoppers cooking in small iron pans. A crowd gathering before the first plate is even served. If you've seen it at an event before, you'll know.

What we offer

Kothu roti station

Godamba roti chopped and stir-fried on a flat iron with spices, egg and your choice of protein. The sound of the scraping and chopping draws guests from across the room. Made to order, fresh for each guest.

Hopper station

Sri Lankan lace crepes cooked individually in small iron pans. Crispy at the edges, soft in the centre. Egg hoppers, plain hoppers, served with sambals and chutneys. One of the most visually striking things we do.

Dosa station

Thin, golden, fermented rice crepes cooked on a large flat iron. Crispy, light, served with coconut sambal and chutneys. Works well for both large events and intimate gatherings.

What events work best?

Live stations work for weddings, corporate events, private parties, birthday celebrations and product launches. Anywhere you want food to be a conversation starter rather than just fuel.

We've run live stations for 30 guests and for 500. Size matters less than space and setup. We'll tell you exactly what we need at your venue.

Can a live station be the main food, or does it need to sit alongside a wider spread?

It can be either. A live hopper or dosa station alongside a buffet is the most common setup. But a standalone kothu roti station works as the main event for more casual gatherings where the food itself is the centrepiece.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Two to four weeks for most events. For summer weekends and large events, sooner is better. Contact us with your date and guest numbers and we'll confirm availability straight away.
