Book a Sri Lankan Wedding Caterer in London: What Full Service Looks Like

You've got the venue, the dress, the guest list. Now you need a caterer who can do the food justice. Here's what full-service Sri Lankan wedding catering from Jaffna Kitchen actually looks like on the day.

You've got the venue, the dress, the guest list. Now you need a caterer who can do the food justice. Food is the one part of a wedding that every single guest experiences, and it's the thing people remember, or don't, more than almost anything else.

What full service actually means

Full-service wedding catering means we handle everything from setup to clear-down. Our team arrives at the venue before your guests do, prepares food on site, manages the service throughout the meal and clears everything away at the end. You don't need to think about food on the day. That's the point.

We're not a delivery-and-disappear operation. We stay for the event.

Menu planning

Every wedding menu is built around your day. We discuss the feel of the event, your guest profile, dietary requirements and what food means to you both. A wedding with a Sri Lankan family on one side and a British family on the other has different needs to a wedding where everyone knows the food already.

A typical wedding spread includes slow-cooked curries, biryani or rice, dhal, vegetable dishes, rotis and sambals. We can add starters, canapés, a live cooking station and desserts. Or keep it simple. It's your day.

Live stations at weddings

Our most popular addition to a wedding is a live cooking station. Hoppers cooked to order, kothu roti made on a flat iron in full view of your guests, or dosa made fresh on a large griddle. The sound and the smell pull people in. It creates a focal point at the event and gives guests something to gather around and talk about.

Most couples tell us afterwards that the live station was the thing their guests talked about most.

Halal and dietary requirements

All our meat is halal as standard. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary requirements across every menu. We work through the full dietary breakdown during planning so no guest is left without something good on their plate.

How to book

Get in touch with your date, venue and approximate guest numbers. We'll come back with a quote within 24 hours. For peak summer weekends, earlier is better, but we regularly accommodate bookings at shorter notice. If your date is coming up fast, ask anyway.
